Put A Little God on It

In my experience I have found that kids can come up with some very wise and helpful things to say.  I am reminded of a story of a boy getting ready for bed, and after brushing his teeth while running down the hallway to his bedroom he took a tumble and fell.  His mother heard the thump on the wall, and fearing something bad just happened, ran to his aid.  When she arrived by his side, she picked him up off of the floor and asked him if he was all right.   The boy said "Yes mommy, I am okay.  I put some God on it".

Often it is easy to forget how to put God on it when we are caught up in life's little moments.  There are those times when we slip and fall, forget that important document for a meeting, or maybe somebody cuts you off on the freeway.  It's easy to get caught up in these moments wondering how we got there, or who did this to us, and perhaps become absorbed in the specifics of it.  Or, we can slow down and put God on it.  We can remind ourselves that there is another way to shift our energy here by pausing and allowing ourselves to go to that special place where we can be at one with ourselves, allowing ourselves to become centered and calm.

Where you go to find this special, sacred place is in the heart, where God's presence exists.  It is in this place where you are able to find a sense of peace and tranquility, where a more powerful avenue is presented to you.  We become a different person with a greater sense of connection when we go to the heart and come from the heart.  It is the temple of all that is good.  Jesus said "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God".  By going to our heart, we will see and experience life in another way.

Pay attention to the "it" throughout each day that you can put some God on, as well as yourself, through the divine you.
